Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) are molecules that inhibit the function- ality of cyclooxygenase, resulting in suppression of prostaglandin production. Primary physicians and specialist clinics frequently prescribe NSAIDs for the treatment of os- teoarticular diseases such as tendinitis, bursitis, synovitis, spondylitis and osteoarthritis. This analysis aims to study gastrointestinal complications in orthopedic patients, caused by the use of NSAIDs, employing esophagogastroduodenoscopy and colonoscopy.
