Femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) is a recently defined condition that affects mainly young adults, often athletes, and represents one of the most common causes of os- teoarthritis of the hip. An early diagnosis is especially important to successfully treat this condition; in fact, if the hip joint is not yet compromised on initial diagnosis, it is possi- ble to improve the prognosis of the patient thanks to conservative surgical treatment.
