The Head and Neck region is a complex part of the human body that includes anatomical structures of a number of systems, as musculoskeletal, nervous, circulatory, respiratory, digestive and endocrine ones. Thus, this area is of great interest for specialists of several medical branches, firstly otorhinolaryngologists. The latter are actively involved in diagnosing and treating of frequent diseases by mean of complex investigative methods and variegated therapeutic tools.
Additionally, the rapid progresses of knowledge through experimental researches have led to a large number of sub-specialization addressing different fields of otolaryngologist sciences.
This Special Issue of Capsula Eburnea includes original contributes from otolaryngologists of different Schools in the World. The contents embrace articles of anatomy, physiology, physiopathology, oncology, pharmacology and surgery that concern pathologies of ear, nose, pharynx and larynx. In this way, we would allow an exchange of experiences and ideas among groups of researchers actively involved in this field, in accordance with the aim of our Journal to be a constructive platform for debates in Experimental Medicine. For this reason, we are grateful to all the colleagues that participated, with their worthy contribute, to this project.
