Negli ultimi anni si e registrato P'interesse di molti gruppi di studio nell'utilizzo di cellule staminali per il trapianto cellulare come una delle possibili stratege terapeutiche nell'ambito della patologia cardiovascolare. In tal senso, le cellule staminali rappresenterebbero una risorsa fondamentale qualora si avessero maggiori conoscenze sui meccanismi che regolano la differenziazione in cardiomiociti. In questa lavoro, vengono riviste le piu attuali ricerche sulle cellule staminali cardiache e sul loro possibile ruolo terapeutico nella riparazione del cuore affetto da patologia.
